We love all kinds of desserts - cookies, cakes, creme brulee - but there's a truly special place in our hearts for a good pie. And here in DFW, there are several amazing places you can grab pie - either whole or by the slice!
Emporium Pies
314 N Bishop Ave, Dallas TX 75208
You can visit any of Emporium Pies' three Dallas locations, but our personal favorite is the original location in the Bishop Arts district. There's just something so charming about that little house! Their pie flavors change depending on the season, and right now their Spring Pies include The Drunken Nut, Cloud Nine, In the Limelight, and their Blue Steel. And if you can memorize Pi to the 20th digit, you'll earn yourself a free slice of pie on Pi Day!

Located in the heart of Downtown Roanoke is Oak St. Pie Co., a charming family-owned pie shop that's been serving up classic, made-from-scratch treats since 2006. They have all kinds of pie flavors offered year-round including: Buttermilk, German Chocolate, Key Lime, Raspberry Lemon, Strawberry Rhubarb, and Peanut Butter.
Mama's Daughters' Diner

All of the pies and cobblers at Mama's Daughters' Diner are made from-scratch from family recipes. Their famous pies come in: Coconut Cream, Chocolate Cream, Strawberry-Banana Cream, Banana Cream, Apple Crumb, Cherry Crumb, Pecan, and Buttermilk. You can buy pie by the slice or a whole pie (no judgment if you choose not to share).

Norma's Cafe

Norma's Cafe has been a Dallas institution in the Oak Cliff neighborhood since 1956. They're serving up Texas comfort food to include some amazing homemade pies. Their Mile-High Pie flavors include: Lemon, Coconut, Chocolate, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and Oreo. Or you can choose from one of their traditional Apple, Cherry or Strawberry Fruit Pies. Order by the slice or take a whole pie to-go! Either way, embrace Norma's life motto, "Life is short. Eat dessert first!"™

The reason Judy chose to start this charming, vintage-inspired pie shop off Main Street in Grapevine is simple - she wanted to share the same pies her mother, Rhoda, made for her family every Sunday growing up in Waco. Those family pies include: Banana Pudding, Key Lime, Rock a Bye Bourbon, and Strawberry Rhubarb. If you're ordering 24 hours ahead, you can place an order online, or just stop into their store to grab a slice!

If you have any dietary restrictions, Unrefined Bakery is a great option for you to still be able to enjoy a pie from. Mother-Daughter duo, Anne and Taylor, have their own food allergies and decided to re-create old family recipes in a healthier way. They have Keto-friendly pies, Paleo pies, and Vegan pies - all of which are Gluten-Free!

We have very much fallen in love with this adorable Lake Dallas bakery. In addition to their fantastic selection of cupcakes and cookies, Lisa Britten also always has some amazing pies in her case. Some of our personal favorites are her gorgeous Key Lime Pie and her French Silk Chocolate Pie with the pretzel crust. You can purchase whole pies or by the slice, depending on how hungry you are.
Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop

Since the Flower Mound location opened in late 2020, we'll admit it's become one of our favorite go-to places when we need something to satisfy our sweet tooth. You can purchase their made-from-scratch pies as a 9", 4", or a box of a dozen 2" pies. They have an amazing assortment of flavors, but our favorite? Hands-down the Key Lime.

Cara Vasquez always has some delicious pies available at the Flour Shop Bakery in Flower Mound. You can find flavors like Buttermilk, Key Lime, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and various cream pies as well. Whether you just want a slice or you need a whole pie, stop in and grab some!

AshJenn Signature Desserts

We can't leave local Flower Mound favorite AshJenn Signature Desserts off the list - especially since her whole business was started all because of a delicious peanut butter cup pie! AshJenn offers mini pies and full-size pies in both classic and seasonal flavors. Place your order online for pickup or just stop by their location in Lakeside DFW to check out what's in the case.
