Now is the perfect time to think about easy ways you can increase the curb appeal of your home. Curb appeal is so important in terms of enticing potential home buyers to want to see more of your home.

So, check out these ideas of simple and low-cost ways you can increase the curb appeal of your home.

#1: Create visual interest with your front door.

The front entry is the focal point of your home, so create a statement with your front door by painting it a fun color, installing a custom door, or dressing it up with a wreath that reflects your personal style.

#4: Make over your mailbox.

This may seem like a less obvious update, but updating your boring mailbox can make a big difference! Your mailbox should complement your home and should also reflect your personal style. Paint it to match the trim on the house, or plant some flowers around it to make a mini garden.

#5: Install some window boxes.

This is such an easy way to add color to the front of your home. You can choose boxes made out of wood or metal to reflect your style.

#6: Clean up those flower beds.

Prune, pull weeds, plant flowers to add a pop of color, and lay down new mulch. All of that harsh sun and severe weather here in Texas will easily strip some of the crispness and color from your beds, so it’s important to regularly maintain them.

#7: Add some outdoor art to the mix.

There’s no easier way to express your personal style than by adding some outdoor art to your front yard. Birdbaths, metal cutouts, sculptures and wind chimes are all good places to start.

#8: Add shutters or accent trim.

These will only contribute to the welcoming feeling of your home. Plus, shutters help control the amount of light that gets into your home. If wood shutters aren’t your style, look into options like aluminum, vinyl, etc.

#9: Replace any damaged/broken gutters.

You may be surprised what a difference sprucing up your gutter system can make. If the paint is peeling, or your gutters are rusted, it might be a good idea to replace that old gutter system.

#10: Give your house a facelift with new paint, siding, etc.

Fresh exterior paint is an easy way to liven up the exterior of your home. Also look for signs of wood rot which can throw off the aesthetics.

#11: Spruce up your driveway.

Look closely to see if your driveway has any cracks or stains that might be a deterrent to potential buyers. All it takes is repairing any cracks and then staining the concrete to make it look good as new again.
