Nothing says 'summer' like a big Independence Day celebration and we're so happy to have them back in full swing again this year! Check out some of the biggest and the best Independence Day events and celebrations happening around Dallas-Fort Worth for July 4, 2022.



Saturday, July 2

Liberty by the Lake (The Colony)

The Colony's Independence Day weekend kicks off on Saturday, July 2 with the Liberty 5K/10K/1M and then the fun continues later on that evening with the Liberty by the Lake Festival with a food court, live music, a watermelon eating contest, and a fireworks finale at 9:30pm!


Sunday, July 3


Addison Kaboom Town

Kaboom Town is probably the most well-known Independence Day celebration in DFW and has been around since 1985. People from all over the country come to check out the Addison Airport Airshow and the incredible fireworks display.

Tickets to watch Kaboom Town from Addison Circle Park opened up for reservations on June 22, so check their website to see if there are still any available. Tickets are FREE but are required to enter into the park (this includes infants and toddlers). 

If there aren't any tickets left for the Addison Circle Park viewing, consider booking a hotel package or find a watch party happening at a nearby restaurant! 


All-American Fireworks & Festival (Roanoke)

The Unique Dining Capital of Texas has some big plans for the 4th this year. Stroll around Roanoke Community Park beginning at 5:00pm to enjoy food, live music, carnival games, inflatables, an apple pie eating contest and more. Then at around 9:00pm the fireworks show will begin!


Southlake Stars & Stripes

Stars & Stripes is back in Southlake this year! The fireworks show begins at 9:30pm, but there's all kinds of other fun for you to enjoy from 3:00-11:00pm like live music, food, games, patriotic stilt walkers and more! And the best part? It's all FREE!


Arlington Independence Day Fireworks

Arlington is ready to light it up on July 3 with a night-long celebration full of vendors, food trucks, and plenty of kid-friendly fun. There will be bands performing on stages all throughout Downtown Arlington starting at 6:00pm and face painting and a bubble bus for the kids. At around 9:50 the 20-minute fireworks show will start and will be set to music on 95.9 The Ranch FM.  


Monday, July 4

Coyote Drive-In (Fort Worth)

Tickets are on sale for Coyote Drive-In's movie and fireworks show happening Monday, July 4. Watch any of the new releases playing on their screens and enjoy the fireworks show that is performed from Panther Island Pavilion. All movie showtimes begin a little after 9:00pm.

Red, White and Boom (McKinney)

Start the day off with a hometown parade and a Yankee Doodle block party in Downtown McKinney and then head to the McKinney Soccer Complex in the evening to enjoy music, food, kids' activities, and an amazing fireworks display.

Independence Fest (Flower Mound)

As residents of Flower Mound, Independence Fest has a special place in our heart! It's a full day of fun beginning with the Children's Parade at 10:00am followed by hot dogs, children's activities, and live entertainment. Then at night at Bakersfield Park beginning at 5:00pm there will be a vintage car show, more children's activities, and live music from Randy Rogers Band beginning around 8:15pm. Stick around until 9:45pm for the amazing fireworks show to end the night! 

Fort Worth's Fourth

Head to Fort Worth this year to celebrate Independence Day with the largest fireworks show in North Texas. You can watch the show from along the banks of the Trinity River at Panther Island Pavilion while also enjoying the festival full of food, drinks, and live music. Gates for the event open at 5:00pm and the fireworks show will start at around 9:30pm.


FWSO July 4th Concert Celebration

The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is back with their annual July 4th Concert Celebration. Pack a picnic and bring the whole family to the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens to listen to your favorite patriotic songs followed by an amazing fireworks display! You can purchase your tickets on the FWSO website.


Grapevine's 40th Annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza

Another of DFW's most popular fireworks displays is the one set off over the beautiful backdrop of Lake Grapevine each year. They are continuing the tradition this year with viewing spots all around the lake. The show set to patriotic music will begin at around 9:30pm and you can see a list of suggested viewing areas on Grapevine's website.


Frisco Freedom Fest

Frisco's Freedom Fest actually kicks off the evening of Sundy, July 3 with the Hotter 'n Firecrackers 5K & Glow Run, Daschund Dash, and the all-new Yankee Doodle Poodle Parade. Then on Sunday, July 4 will be the Party in the Plaza complete with live entertainment, their Taste of Frisco event, and activities for the kids. Hang out until 10:00pm after the FC Dallas game when the 20-minute fireworks show will begin!


Plano's All American 4th

Check out Plano's All American 4th from 6:00-10:00pm on July 4 for a vendor market, static parade floats, and a free kid zone. There will also be food and beverages available for purchase. Fireworks begin at 9:30pm so bring your blankets, chairs, and coolers to enjoy the show!


July Jubilee at Little Elm Park

Little Elm is offering TWO simultaneous fireworks shows beginning at 9:30pm again this year. One show will be at Little Elm Beach and the other will be at Little Elm High School. Little Elm Park will be open all day with vendors, live music, and so much more! Parking passes for the event are on sale now, but you can purchase parking the day of. But keep in mind that they will not allow you to come and go throughout the day.


Sparks & Stripes (Irving)

The City of Irving will host its annual Independence Day celebration on Monday, July 4. The full day of fun starts with a parade at 9:00am in the Heritage District and then you can swing by Levy Event Plaza starting at 6:00pm for live music and fireworks!


Arlington 4th of July Parade

The 4th of July Parade is Arlington's longest-running event and it's easy to see why! There's always so much fun and it's one of the largest 4th of July parades in the state of Texas! The parade will begin at 9:00am on Monday, July 4 and you can visit the website to see the full route.
