Are you considering moving to Dallas-Fort Worth? There are so many areas of the Metroplex that we think are great, but we're a little partial to Denton County because that's where we all live and work. So, here are 5 things we think you should know about Denton County, Texas.

1. Denton County is one of the fastest-growing counties in the United States.

We must not be the only ones who think Denton County is a great place to live because it's currently one of the fastest-growing counties in the country. The current estimated population is around 950,000, but there are approximately 82 people who move to Denton County every day. This is thanks to several factors, some of which we'll get into below. But one of those factors is the abundance of corporations who are relocating their headquarters here, including: Farmer Brothers, Charles Schwab, and PGA.

2. Denton County is generally centrally located between Dallas and Fort Worth.

Many of Denton County's towns and cities are centrally-located between Dallas and Fort Worth so it's a great location no matter which downtown area you work in or near. It's also not too far from DFW Airport for those who work in the airline industry or who travel often for work.

3. Denton County has one of the lowest tax rates among Texas' most populated counties.

Compared to many of the other most populated counties in Texas, Denton County's tax rate is significantly lower than some of our neighboring counties including Dallas, Tarrant, and Collin Counties.

You can compare tax rates here.

4. Denton County is home to many entertainment venues, sport venues, and attractions.

Living in Denton County, you'll be close to many DFW-area attractions and venues including Texas Motor Speedway, the Frisco Roughriders, the North Texas Fair & Rodeo, and Ray Roberts Lake State Park.

5. Denton County is continuing to grow!

Because many of us on our team have lived here for 20+ years, we've seen a lot of growth in Denton County. And the exciting part is that the growth is just continuing! They are constantly working on bringing new businesses here, are expanding and improving our roads, and are making our quality of life better thanks to new shopping and entertainment centers, lower tax rates, and increased housing opportunities.
