Denton County

Flower Mound's Concerts in the Park

Every Friday in May, the Town of Flower Mound is hosting their Concerts in the Park series at Heritage Park. You can bring your own cooler or purchase food and concessions from one of the food trucks on-hand! All concerts will begin at 7:00pm.

Lakeside Music Series

Also every Friday in Flower Mound is the Lakeside Music Series in the center plaza at Lakeside DFW. Grab some food from one of the many great restaurants located in the Shops and/or head over to the Moviehouse & Eatery for a movie after the concert's over. All concerts are from 7:00-9:00pm.

Highland Village: Movie in the Park

The City of Highland Village will host their annual Movies in the Park on Friday, May 19 and Friday, June 16 at Unity Park. Pack up the whole family to enjoy whichever family-friendly moving they're screening! They'll also have concessions available for purchase and the movies will begin at sundown.

2017 "Sounds of Lewisville" Concert Series

Back by popular demand is the "Sounds of Lewisville" Concert Series which has been a local family favorite since 1991. The Series will present 8 shows at Wayne Ferguson Plaza in the heart of Old Town Lewisville. The concerts will start at 7:00pm every Tuesday in June and July. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs for seating. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Castle Hills' Concert Series

Once a month, Castle Hills will feature a band as part of their Spring Concert Series. Activities begin at 6:30pm and the concerts start on the Main Stage at 8:00pm. On May 13th they'll have Big City Outlaws performing and The Boy Band Night will take the stage on June 10th.

Free Movie in the Park at Denton's Quakertown Park

For those of you a little further north, you can take the kiddos to see Disney's Moana at Quakertown Park in Denton on Friday, May 12. They have a marshmallow roast and arts and crafts that begin at 8:00pm and the movie will begin around dusk.

Old Town Coppell: Concert on the Lawn

Head to the Square at Old Town in Coppell on Friday, May 5 from 7:00-9:00pm to celebrate Old Town Coppell's anniversary with a live concert featuring Texas Flood! While you're enjoying the music, the kiddos can play in the Main Street Interactive Fountain or on the nearby playground.

Coppell Town Plaza: Movie in the Plaza

On Friday, June 2 from 8:00-10:00pm, pack up your blankets and chairs with a picnic dinner to enjoy a free screening of Pete's Dragon at the Town Center Plaza. They'll also have free popcorn for you to enjoy!

Dallas Area

Sundown at Granada

Join Sundown at Granada on Lower Greenville for free screenings of popular movies on their rooftop every Wednesday at 8:30pm from May to July. They also serve 1/2 price whiskey all night long!

Historic Downtown Carrollton: Concerts & Movies on the Square

Visit Downtown Carrollton this May to enjoy their Concert on the Square happening May 13th at 6:00pm and their Movie on the Square happening May 20th at 6:00pm. It's also a great excuse to try out one of the many fantastic restaurants located around the Square!

Addison Summer Series

Addison's annual Summer Series provides outdoor entertainment everyone will enjoy in Beckert Park every Saturday night through June, July and August. There will be a variety of genres represented throughout the summer so be sure to check out their schedule once it's posted! All performances will begin at 8:00pm.

Fort Worth Area

Sundance Square: Movie Night in Sundance Square Plaza 

One of my favorite places to head in the Metroplex is Sundance Square. There are so many delicious restaurants and fun places to visit down there. And every Thursday from June 15-July 13 they'll be screening movies in the plaza. Movies will begin around dusk (8:45/9:00pm) and games and other entertainment will be available starting around 7:30pm. They've got some oldies but goodies playing this summer like Princess Bride and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Concerts in the Garden at Fort Worth Botanic Garden

If you've never been, you really need to buy tickets to one of the Concerts in the Garden at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden put on by the Fort Worth Symphony. Relax under the stars while listening to great music. The Garden Summer Music Festival offers 16 nights of outdoor concerts every weekend from June through July. All concerts are from 8:00-10:00pm and end with a fireworks display.

Keller Summer Nights at Keller Town Hall

Every Thursday in June, Keller will host their Keller Summer Nights series which will feature both live music and screenings of family-friendly movies. The events kick off with food and fun at 7:00, then live music starting at 7:30, and then the movie screening at 9:00.
