Foodie Friday DFW: Nestlé Toll House Cafe by Chip Sweetening Up Highland Village
What better way to beat the heat this summer than by heading to the Nestlé Toll House Cafe by Chip in Highland Village to grab a sweet treat? Is there anything better?
We got to stop in and meet new owner, Jennifer Cooley, and hear about how she's hoping to get more involved with the community and get to know her customers better.
Jen has been offering kid's cookie decorating camps this summer, teaching kiddos how to decorate Nestlé's famous cookie cakes. And she's hoping to expand that into offering birthday parties in the near future.
In addition to being well-known for their cookie cakes, Nestlé Toll House Cafe by Chip is also a popular place to grab an ice cream sandwich. You can choose any cookies you want and sandwich any ice cream flavor you choose between the cookies. So when you're out shopping at the Shops at Highland Village and you need a reprieve from the heat, a cookie ice cream sandwich should be just the fix you need!
I had a blast getting to meet Jen - she even let me decorate a cookie cake slice which was awesome! She told me she'd hire me to do the borders of their cookie cakes for sure, but wasn't so enthused about the rest of my decorating skills. Guess I'll stick with my day job as a Realtor.
If you haven't been in to meet Jen since she took ownership in May, definitely pop in and say "hey." She is a bundle of infectious energy and we are so happy to have her as part of our restaurant community here in Highland Village!
