Got family coming to town for Thanksgiving and not sure what to do with them? Believe it or not, this weekend marks the beginning of many Holiday Light exhibitions. And we've got the scoop on some of the local attractions you can visit to get in the holiday spirit this year!

Here are 12 places here in DFW that you can see Christmas Lights this year (some as early as this weekend)!

Lone Star Christmas

Where: Gaylord Texan

When: Through January 1, 2018

The Gaylord Texan wows visitors each year with its stunning Christmas displays. You can walk around the resort to see the more than 2 million lights and larger-than-life decorations. While you're there, you can also visit the ICE! exhibit which features "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" this year. One of my personal favorite things to check out are the trains!

The 12 Days of Christmas

Where: Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden

When: Through January 4, 2018

Visit the Dallas Arboretum to see their incredible display of the 12 Days of Christmas. Their Victorian-style gazebos each depict a day in the beloved Christmas carol. If you visit the Arboretum at night, you'll see their 12 Days of Christmas night display which features 500,000 lights and a 30-foot tree!

Dallas Zoo Lights

Where: Dallas Zoo

When: November 17, 2017-January 2, 2018

This is a debut event for the Dallas Zoo! On select evenings, the zoo will be transformed to a winter wonderland at night with nearly 1 million lights illuminating the night sky. You can stroll along the magically-lit path which will have an array of light-wrapped trees, overhead and hanging light displays, and lighted 2-D decorations. You'll also get to enjoy holiday entertainment, a special holiday light show, tasty winter treats, crafts, and tons of great photo op spots! There will event be a one-of-a-kind tree covered in sound-reactive lights, perfect for carolers!

Holiday Wonder

Where: Fair Park

When: November 21, 2017-January 7, 2018

Holiday Wonder at Fair Park is an outdoor, walk-through winter wonderland created with holiday-themed Chinese lanterns. While you're walking around, you'll see Santa Claus, floating swans, and more! In addition to the beautiful lantern displays, you can also enjoy the two-story Santa's Arctic Slide, snowball throwing, music, dancing and a world-class acrobatics show.

The Magic of Christmas

Where: Main Street Grapevine

When: November 21, 2017-January 6, 2018

Visit Historic Downtown Grapevine this year for their Christmas Light Show Spectacular - a synchronized light display that runs continuously from 6-11pm starting November 21. And while you're down there, you can visit all the incredible shops and restaurants Grapevine has to offer!

Gift of Lights at Texas Motor Speedway

Where: Texas Motor Speedway

When: November 21-December 30, 2017

Texas Motor Speedway has an incredible light show each year that you can see from the comfort of your own car! You can also travel to Santa's Village to meet Santa and experience what Christmas is like at the North Pole.

Prairie Lights

Where: Lynn Creek Park, Grand Prairie

When: November 23-December 31, 2017

If drive-through light displays are your thing, you'll love Prairie Lights in Grand Prairie. You'll be dazzled with 4 million lights along the 2-mile driving path. Halfway through, you can get out and explore the Holiday Village where you'll find food, gifts, Santa, a brand new indoor snow maze, and the Holiday Magic Lighted Walk-Through Forest. Then the last half of the drive ends with the super cool light tunnel - it feels like you're in space flying at warp speed!

Where: Globe Life Park, Arlington

When: November 24-December 31, 2017

Enchant is home to the World's Largest Outdoor Christmas Light Maze with over 3 acres of dazzling lights. While there, you can also visit the skating pond, the Enchant Christmas Market and Santa's Palace (that's right - a PALACE!). Get ready to be truly "enchanted" this holiday season!

Christmas in the Square

Where: Frisco Square

When: November 24-December 31, 2017

Frisco Square is home to the largest choreographed holiday lights and music show in North Texas. This will be the event's 13th year and will be full of fan favorites and new surprises. You can tune in to the radio to hear the music in your car, or you can walk around the Square and listen to the music over the speakers. And if you want to experience "snow" here in Texas, they even have snow flurries every 15 minutes on Fridays and Saturdays!

Holiday Lights Spectacular

Where: Vitruvian Park

When: November 24, 2017-January 1, 2018

The kickoff for the annual Holiday Lights Spectacular will be Friday, November 24 at 6:00pm. There will be music from the Jordan Kahn Orchestra, food trucks, FREE photos with Santa, an Elf balloon artist, a holiday shopping village and more! After the kickoff event on the 24th, you can visit any time before January 1st to see the millions of sparkling LED lights that are wrapped around the more than 550 trees in the park.

Farmers Branch Christmas Tour of Lights

Where: I-35 & Valley View Ln, Farmers Branch

When: November 24-December 30, 2017

Christmas Tour of Lights is another great option if you love drive-through light displays. It has over 500,000 twinkling lights spread out over a variety of different scenes - everything from fantasy to patriotic! At the end of the road, you'll find an animated show with Santa Claus himself at the Farmers Branch Historical Park.

Downtown Wanderland

Where: Browder Plaza, Downtown Dallas

When: November 30-December 16, 2017

Visit Downtown Dallas to enjoy shopping, photos, movies, drinks, music and (of course) lights this holiday season! It's a free stroll for anyone who wants to take the experience in!
