FALL FESTIVALS
Southlake Oktoberfest
Date: October 6-8, 2017 (Friday: 5-11pm; Saturday: 10am-11pm; Sunday 12-5pm)
Location: Southlake Town Square
Cost: FREE Admission & Parking
This year marks the 16th anniversary of Southlake's Oktoberfest celebration which is hosted by Southlake's Chamber of Commerce. Take a stroll through Southlake's beautiful Town Square to check out all the food, beverages, live music, activities, and items for sale. And don't forget to sign up your dog for the popular wiener dog race!
Oak Cliff Pumpkinfest
Date: October 8, 2017 4-9pm
Location: Bishop Arts District
Cost: FREE Admission; Event Tickets are $1 each and can be used for select activities and food
The 3rd annual Oak Cliff Pumpkinfest will have fun for the whole family including a Game Midway, a Costume Contest, and a Pumpkins on Parade contest. They're also offering ways to give back to the community with pet rescues, a canned food drive benefitting the North Texas Food Bank and more!
Pumpkin Palooza
Date: October 21, 2017 11am-9pm
Location: Corinth Community Park, 3800 Corinth Parkway, Corinth TX 76208
Cost: FREE
There are all kinds of fun activities at Corinth's Pumpkin Palooza including photo ops with Mater and Lightning McQueen from the Disney movie Cars, a pumpkin patch, pumpkin painting, a car show, face painting, a petting zoo, trunk or treating and a balloon glow. Family Fright Night
Date: October 21-22, 2017 4pm-9am
Location: Stewart Creek Park, 3700 Sparks Rd, The Colony TX 75056

How does a spooky family overnight campout sound? Spend the night outdoors and enjoy the haunted trail, tent trick or treating, costume and scream contests, scary movie, hayride, campfire, and great food. Registration has already opened and slots fill up quickly, so contact The Colony's Parks and Recreation Department quickly at 972.625.1106 to secure your spot!
Farmers Branch Halloween in the Park
Date: October 28, 2017 5-10pm
Location: Farmers Branch Historical Park, 2540 Farmers Branch Lane, Farmers Branch TX 75234
Cost: FREE Admission; Haunted Hedge is $5

Denton's Day of the Dead Festival
Date: October 28, 2017 11am-9pm
Location: E Hickory and Industrial Street
Cost: FREE
Denton's event allows you to celebrate harvest, Dia de los Muertos and Halloween all in one place! Take your kids trunk-or-treating, stroll through the pumpkin patch, play some games, check out the salsa cook-off and shop around the vendor booths. They'll also have their famous coffin races and their lantern-lit twilight parade. And you'll definitely want to check out Denton's original musical - Cirque du Horror!
PUMPKIN PATCHES & FARMS
Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch
When: October 1-31; 9am-7pm daily

Cost: $5 Parking on Weekdays; $10 Parking on Weekends; FREE Activities
The Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch has become a staple in the local community and crowds flock to it each Fall. They have tons of family-friendly activities you can take advantage of including a kid-friendly hay bale maze, bounce houses, hayrides, the Pumpkin Patch Train and playground equipment. Plus, on Saturdays and Sundays you can enjoy food for purchase from JJ's Barbecue, Red Hot and Blue, Fletcher's Corny Dogs and more.
Hall's Pumpkin Farm
When: Sept 29-Oct 31; Monday-Thursday 3-8pm; Friday 3-10pm; Saturday 10am-10pm; Sunday 1-8pm

Cost: FREE Admission; Corn Maze $5; Hayrides $3-$5
Located in historic Grapevine, families from all over the metroplex visit Hall's Pumpkin Farm to enjoy an old fashioned fall celebration. They have pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, gourds, hay bales and corn stalks. They have a mind boggling corn maze made of two acres of towering corn stalks and hayrides through the farm pulled by a genuine farm tractor.
Pumpkins on the Prairie
When: Sept 30-Oct 3; Monday-Friday 1-7pm; Saturday-Sunday 9am-7pm

Pumpkins on the Prairie is listed as one of the Best Pumpkin Patches in Texas and is going on their 14th year of fun and festivities. You can pick your favorite pumpkin out of the patch and also enjoy the bounce house, hay maze, and games in the "Kid's Patch." There will also be plenty of photo ops between their fall set-ups and family-fun hayrides.
Storybook Ranch Pumpkin Patch
When: Sept 24-Nov 1; Sunday-Friday 10am-Sundown; Saturday 9am-Sundown
Where: 3701 S Custer Rd, McKinney TX 75070
Cost: Admission to the patch is free; $15/Child (Ages 2+) for Activities & $5/Adult for Activities
You can peruse their pumpkin patch at no cost, or your little ones can enjoy the pony rides, hay maze, bounce houses, petting zoo and a wagon ride through Storybook Ranch's historic western town. Your kiddos will also get a free mini pumpkin with admission! If you visit on October 30, you can also participate in their family-friendly Halloween party which will have a costume contest. Or you can schedule your own private Kid's Pumpkin Patch Party!
Autumn at the Arboretum
When: Through Nov 22; 9am-5pm every day except Wednesday 9am-8pm
Where: Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, 8525 Garland Rd, Dallas TX 75218
Cost: $15/Adult; $10/Children (3-12); $12/Senior (65 & Over); Children 2 & under FREE
Head to the Arboretum's Main Garden where you an visit the Pumpkin Village in the Pecan Grove which is filled with pumpkin houses inspired by this year's theme, The Wizard of Oz. Check the Arboretum's website for information regarding daily discounts.
