If there's one holiday tradition we love, it's visiting a Christmas tree farm right after Thanksgiving. There are several great farms here in the DFW area - places you can purchase a precut tree or cut down your own.

Here are 8 Christmas Tree Farms you should visit this year.

Sunset Hill Tree Farm

Alvarado, Texas

3400 County Rd 206, Alvarado TX 76009

Open Friday, November 26, 2021 - Sell Out; Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays 9:00am-5:00pm

At Sunset Hill Tree Farm, you can enjoy the experience of cutting down your own tree or you can purchase one of their precut trees that are shipped directly to them from a tree farm in North Carolina. If you do want the experience of cutting down your own tree, they recommend you come within the first weekend as they usually sell out after the first few days. But you don't even have to purchase a tree to visit the farm. They also have a country store where you can enjoy hot chocolate, popcorn, wreath-making demonstrations, and a selection of toys and t-shirts for purchase. The farm is open every weekend beginning the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday after Thanksgiving and are open from 9:00am-5:00pm.
