If there's one holiday tradition we love, it's visiting a Christmas tree farm right after Thanksgiving. There are several great farms here in the DFW area - places you can purchase a precut tree or cut down your own.

Here are 8 Christmas Tree Farms you should visit this year.

Sunset Hill Tree Farm

Alvarado, Texas

3400 County Rd 206, Alvarado TX 76009

Opens Friday, November 24, 2023; Saturdays/Sundays 9:00am-5:00pm

Visit a real working farm to cut your Christmas tree this year. At Sunset Hill Tree Farm, you have the option of cutting one of their Virginia Pines, or you can purchase one of their pre-cut Fraser Firs delivered straight from North Carolina. If you do want the experience of cutting down your tree, they recommend you come in the first weekend! In 2023, they've tagged 91 trees for cutting. But even if you don't need a farm-fresh tree, you can visit the farm for custom wreaths, mining, the farm zoo, and delicious Christmas treats.
