It's the question on everyone's mind... Is Halloween canceled this year? NO! We've shared with you some amazing local pumpkin patches you can still visit this year with social distancing guidelines in place, and here are some great events where you can take the kids trick-or-treating safely this year!

Lake Cities Trunk or Treat

Where: Lake Dallas City Park, 101 E. Hundley Dr, Lake Dallas TX 75065

When: Friday, October 30, 2020 @ 5:00-7:00pm

Cost: FREE

The Lake Cities Trunk or Treat has become a favorite annual Halloween event in the area. This year they're doing it again at Lake Dallas City Park complete with a golf cart parade, games, live music and (of course) lots of candy.

McKinney Fall Festival

Where: 7650 Stacy Road, McKinney TX 75070

When: Saturday, October 31, 2020 @ 1:00-3:00pm

Cost: FREE

Bring the whole gang to McKinney's Fall Festival hosted by four local McKinney businesses. They'll have live music, pumpkin decorations, a costume competition, trick-or-treating, and a trunk-or-treat.

Explorium Denton's Halloween Scavenger Hunt

Where: Explorium - Denton Children's Museum, 5800 I-35, Denton TX 76207

When: Saturday, October 31, 2020 @ 5:00-7:00pm

Cost: $5/person; FREE for Museum Members

Denton's Explorium Children's Museum is having a Halloween Science Scavenger Hunt that will be full of S.T.E.A.M. activities and plenty of treats. Come dressed in costume ready to do some exploring! Register here for your 30-minute time slot!

Tour of Frights

Where: Farmers Branch Historical Park, 2540 Farmers Branch Lane, Farmers Branch TX 75234

When: Saturday, October 31, 2020 @ 6:00-9:00pm

Cost: FREE

Farmers Branch has transformed their annual Halloween in the Park to a drive-thru Tour of Frights this year which will be full of family-friendly chills and thrills. Families are invited to wear their costumes and decorate their cars to participate in the fun. And prepackaged trick or treat bags will be handed out to every child in costume.

Trick a Trunk Treats

Where: Fred Moore Park, 701 Wilson St, Denton TX 76205

When: Saturday, October 31, 2020 @ 8:00-9:00pm

Cost: FREE

The Dream Builders Youth Association will be at Fred Moore Park in Denton on Halloween handing out candy to all your little ghouls and goblins.

Family Fun Weekend at Dallas Arboretum

Where: Dallas Arboretum, 8525 Garland Road, Dallas TX 75218

When: Saturday, October 31-Sunday, November 1 @ 9:00am-5:00pm

Cost: Included with Arboretum admission

Don’t miss the annual Halloween blow-out weekend with trick-or-treating throughout the garden, pumpkin decorating, a petting zoo, and live music!
