There are so many breathtaking Christmas light displays here in Dallas-Fort Worth, so here are some of the most popular that we recommend checking out this holiday season.

Lone Star Christmas

Where: Gaylord Texan, 1501 Gaylord Trail, Grapevine TX 76051

When: Through January 5, 2020

The Gaylord Texan wows visitors each year with its stunning Christmas displays. You can walk around the resort to see the more than 2 million lights and larger-than-life decorations. While you're there, you can also visit the ICE! exhibit which features "A Charlie Brown Christmas" this year. And one of my personal favorites is looking at all of the trains around the atrium.

The 12 Days of Christmas

Where: Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, 8525 Garland Road, Dallas TX 75218

When: Through December 31, 2019

Visit the Dallas Arboretum to see their incredible display of the 12 Days of Christmas. Their Victorian-style gazebos each depict a day in the beloved Christmas carol. If you visit the Arboretum at night, you'll see their 12 Days of Christmas night display which features 500,000 lights and a 30-foot tree!

Dallas Zoo Lights

Where: Dallas Zoo, 650 S. R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas TX  75203

When: Through January 5, 2020

After the animals go to bed, the Dallas Zoo is transformed into a winter wonderland with nearly 1 million lights illuminating the night sky. You can stroll along the magically-lit path which will have an array of light-wrapped trees, overhead and hanging light displays. You'll also get to enjoy holiday entertainment, a special holiday light show, tasty winter treats, crafts, and tons of great photo op spots!

The Magic of Christmas

Where: Main Street Grapevine, South Main St, Grapevine TX 76051

When: Through January 4, 2020

Stroll down Main Street in Grapevine this Christmas and you'll see hundreds of thousands of lights, daily performances from an animated snowman, plenty of photo ops, snow, and a light show after sunset on their 40-foot animated singing Christmas tree.

Gift of Lights at Texas Motor Speedway

Where: Texas Motor Speedway

When: Through January 5, 2020

Around Christmas, Texas Motor Speedway is transformed into Santa's home sweet home a drive-thru showcase of millions of lights, Santa's Village, train rides, and even an ice skating rink!

Prairie Lights

Where: Lynn Creek Park, 5610 Lake Ridge Pkwy, Grand Prairie TX 75052

When: Through December 29, 2019

Another amazing drive-thru light display is Prairie Lights held each year at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie. As you drive through the 2-mile path, you'll be dazzled by 4 million lights. At the halfway point, you can get out of your car to visit the Holiday Village where you'll find food, gifts, Santa, and a brand-new indoor Holiday Show. Then when you get back in your car, your journey will end by driving through a very animated light tunnel which will have you feeling like you're traveling at warp speed!

Christmas in the Square

Where: Frisco Square, 8830 Coleman Blvd, Frisco TX 75034

When: Through December 31, 2019

Frisco Square is home to the largest choreographed holiday lights and music show in North Texas. You can listen to the music through the radio in your car or while you're walking around taking in everything else Frisco Square has to offer this time of year like the ice skating rink and the Christmas Tree Maze.

Holiday Lights Spectacular

Where: Vitruvian Park, 3966 Vitruvian Way, Addison TX

When: Through January 1, 2020

We know one of the most popular light shows in the area is undoubtedly the Holiday Lights Spectacular at Vitruvian Park in Addison. Each night from 5:00-11:00pm, you can visit Vitruvian Park to enjoy the tree lights. There are also a few special events happening through the month of December.
