If you get bored taking your dog on walks all the time, imagine how they feel! Why not mix it up a little bit with any of these dog-friendly activities that can be found right here in Dallas-Fort Worth?

#1: The McKinney Avenue Trolley is the perfect pet-friendly way to navigate Uptown! If your pooch gets too exhausted while out walking, just find yourself an "M-Line Trolley" sign and hop on board! The trolley stops by major Dallas attractions including Klyde Warren Park (which has a special place to play with Fido called "My Best Friend's Park), the Nasher Sculpture Garden, several favorite Dallas restaurants, and the Fairmont Dallas.

#2: Since we mentioned My Best Friend's Park at Klyde Warren Parkthis is a great spot right in the middle of Downtown Dallas to allow your dog to run around, jumping the fountain and playing with other dogs. Other fun things to do while at Klyde Warren Park include eating food from the food trucks, playing with the kiddos in the children's park, and taking in the natural beauty of the Butterfly Garden.

#3: Katy Trail Ice House is perhaps one of the most popular dog-friendly places here on our list. Located just off the (also dog-friendly) Katy Trail, this Austin-style beer garden and restaurant boasts 50 beers on tap and has been awarded the best patio in Dallas. It's casual atmosphere, good food, and fun games makes it a fantastic place to hang out with your pup and friends.

#4: MUTTS Canine Cantina has two locations here in DFW - one in Uptown in Dallas and another in Clearfork in Fort Worth. You must be a member of this dog-friendly restaurant and off-leash dog park in order to enjoy the benefits (or pay for a day pass). They have a small dog park and a large dog park, and they offer food for both humans and fur babies alike! Your doggy is sure to love their Pupsicle - a frozen delicacy from Revolution Artisan Pops with beef broth, peanut butter and an edible bone.

#5: There are TONS of dog parks in Dallas where you can take your pooch to run around and play off-leash and with other furry friends. Bark Central Park in Deep Ellum is a fun one, as is NorthBark Dog Park with its doggie beach.

#6: Lola's Trailer Park in Fort Worth is a super fun indoor/outdoor bar and live music venue in the West 7th District that is both pet and family friendly. On a nightly basis, you'll be able to find country and rock bands from all around Texas playing music.

#7: The Trinity Trails extend through Fort Worth over 70 miles along the Trinity River and connects major areas like the Stockyards, Downtown, TCU, and the Cultural District. It's the perfect place to wear out your dog and you can visit hot Fort Worth attractions along the way like the Panther Island Pavilion, Woodshed Smokehouse, and the Coyote Drive-In Theater.

In addition to all of these activities, DFW is home to a bunch of fantastic dog parks, both in the city and in the suburbs. Check out this list of DFW Dog Parks courtesy of BringFido.com!
