We know it's scary - next year is pronounced "Twenty-twenty-too." But why not celebrate the fact that we made it through 2021?! There are so many great events happening around DFW to help you ring in the new year - both kid-friendly and better-suited for the adults.

Check out some of our favorite events we found below.


Kid-Friendly

Noon Year's Eve

Where: Dallas Arboretum, Children's Adventure Garden Entry Plaza

When: Friday, December 31st, 2021 @ 10:00am-3:00pm

Cost: FREE with Children's Adventure Garden admission

Enjoy the excitement of the celebration without staying up till midnight with a Noon Year’s Eve ball drop and winter STEM activities at the Children's Adventure Garden at the Dallas Arboretum. Then stick around to enjoy all the other fun the Children's Adventure Garden has to offer in its 8 acres of fun overlooking White Rock Lake.


Zoo Year's Eve

Where: Fort Worth Zoo

When: Friday, December 31st, 2021 @ 6:00pm-Saturday, January 1, 2022 @ 9:00am

Cost: $85/child

Getting to leave your child to have fun at the zoo while you get to go out all night kid-free? Sounds like a win-win to us! Make reservations for your child to participate in this year's overnight Zoo Year's Eve event where they an enjoy pizza, a movie, crafts, a night hike through the park, and a continental breakfast. What kid wouldn't love that?!


Noon Year's Eve

Where: Fort Worth Museum of Science and History

When: Friday, December 31st, 2021 @ 10:00am-12:00pm

Cost: FREE with Admission

We all know keeping the kids up until midnight rarely goes over well, so why not celebrate "Noon Year's Eve" instead? Join the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History on New Year's Eve where the kids can learn about different New Year traditions! Create party poppers, make "Noon" Year's Eve resolutions, and learn about the animals of the new year. Then celebrate the new year at noon! And keep in mind that while the event ends at noon, the museum stays open until 5:00pm that day.


Noon Year's Eve

Where: Altitude Trampoline Park, Fort Worth

When: Friday, December 31st, 2021 @ 11:00am-1:00pm

Cost: $13/person

If your kids are a little more active then you may want to check out Altitude Trampoline Park Fort Worth's Noon Year's Eve celebration happening on Friday the 31st where they'll have a countdown to noon, balloon drop, prizes, and a sparkling cider toast. You can purchase your pass online before the even to ensure you have a spot!


EPIC Family New Year

Where: Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark, 2970 Epic Place, Grand Prairie TX 75052

When: Friday, December 31st, 2021 @ 1:00pm-Saturday, January 1, 2022 @ 1:00am

Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark is hosting an all-day and all-night swimming party with DJ music and lots of other festive activities like “rubber duck drop” countdowns throughout the day, circus and aerial performances, hula dancing, and games. 

You can purchase general admission tickets or you can upgrade your tickets to enjoy a delicious meal as well.


New Year's Eve Countdown to Noon Party

Where: Sci-Tech Discovery Center, 8004 North Dallas Parkway, Frisco, TX, 75034

When: Friday, December 31st, 2021 @ 10:00am-3:00pm

Cost: FREE with General Admission

Another great STEM New Year's Eve activity can be found at the Sci-Tech Discovery Center in Frisco. Your kids can enjoy activities and experiments like driving a robot calendar course, glowing tattoo station, making sparkling grape juice gummy spheres, and a light writing photo room.

Timed tickets are available in two-hour blocks. We recommend making your reservations beforehand as walk-ins will be accommodated as allowed.


Main Event's Day 1 DFW

Where: 7 DFW Main Event Locations

When: Saturday, January 1, 2022 @ 9:00am-Sunday, January 2, 2022 @ 2:00am

Bowling, billiards, laser tag, gravity ropes, golf, arcade games, and more! Purchase a pass for Main Even'ts Day 1 DFW and get an all-access pass which allows access to the Main Event facility of your choice, a $10 fun card for games, and bowling shoe rental!



Grown Up Fun

Reunion Tower Over the Top NYE

Where: Virtual

When: Friday, December 31, 2021 @ 11:59pm

Cost: FREE

Join Reunion Tower for their sixth Texas-sized New Year's Eve event showcasing the only 360-degree fireworks spectacular in the Central time zone. The 10-minute show will include pyrotechnics and a 225-drone light show. 

Due to the governmental orders in Dallas County related to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no viewing of the fireworks show from the lawn of Reunion Tower, but you can watch the show from various vantage points around the city, and of course from home on NBC 5 where you can see country star Scotty McCreery perform from 11:30pm-12:30am.


Third Rail's New Year's Eve Party

Where: Harvest Hall, 815 South Main Street, Grapevine, TX 76051

When: Friday, December 31, 2021 @ 8:00pm-Saturday, January 1, 2022 @ 1:00am

Cost: $75-$100/person

Harvest Hall is one of our favorite new spots here in DFW and if you're over 21 you can spend New Year's Eve in their VIP room in Third Rail where you'll have a seat to watch live music, unlimited bubbly, and party favors. 

All 7 kitchens of Harvest Hall will be open for food including Main Line coffee bar to keep you going all night! And with your ticket for the party, you'll receive a $25 gift card for food.

Additionally, a Karaoke party will be happening in North Hall from 7pm-11pm. Come on over and sing your heart out!


Four Seasons' New Year's Eve Celebration Dinner 

Where: LAW, Four Seasons Las Colinas

When: Friday, December 31, 2021 @ 5:30-11:00pm

Cost: $135/person

Ring in 2022 Four Seasons style with a six-course, pre-fixe menu in LAW. You can enjoy live acoustic entertainment by JD Monson and then end the evening by toasting to the new year on the OUTLAW Taproom patio with your complimentary glass of champagne. 

You can also add a wine pairing to your reservation for an additional $60 per person.


Tracy Lawrence at Billy Bob's Texas

Where: Billy Bob's Texas, 2520 Rodeo Plz, Fort Worth TX 76164

When: Friday, December 31st, 2021 @ 10:00pm

Cost: Tickets starting at $26 for General Admission

What says "New Year's Even in Texas" more than celebrating with the live country music at Billy Bob's Texas? Doors open at 6:00pm and the show starts at 10:00. While you're there, enjoy their Texas-sized dance floor, bull riding, food from their honkey tonk kitchen, and their video arcade. 


New Year's Eve Countdown Celebration at Texas LIVE!

Where: Texas Live!, 1650 E Randol Mill Rd, Arlington TX 76011

When: Friday, December 31st, 2021 @ 9:00pm

Cost: FREE

After the Cotton Bowl, ring in the new year at Texas Live! in Arlington. The event kicks off around 9:00pm and will include live music, multiple DJ's, midnight surprises, games, prizes, and more.


New Year's Eve with Four Day Weekend

Where: Four Day Weekend Fort Worth, 312 Houston St, Fort Worth TX 76102 | Four Day Weekend Dallas, 5601 Sears St, Dallas, TX 75206

Cost: $110 per person

These guys are old friends of mine and I always love an opportunity to see them perform! Their incredible NYE package includes admission to their interactive comedy show, a cocktail-style dinner, a ticket to a future Four Day Weekend performance, a champagne toast, and party favors.

Swing is the Thing by Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra

Visit Bass Hall on New Year's Eve for a brilliant marriage of music and movement showcasing four world-champion swing dancers. Groove to favorites by Duke Ellington and Glenn Miller, to Bill Haley and the Comets, and Jerry Lee Lewis in this acrobatic homage to one of America's most popular and enduring styles of dance music.
