Why were you selling/buying when you were?

In 2015, Zach got a new job in Colorado. He was living there and I was living with the kids here in Texas still. So, I was working pretty much solo with Jay. Which was great. Zach appreciated that Jay brought people in to clean and stage the house so it looked its best and we could sell quickly and for more money. I always felt fully comfortable working with Jay and his team during that time that he was away in Colorado.

 

Fast forward three years, Zach got another job which brought us back to Texas. This time, I was living in Colorado and he was here working and looking at homes with Nina on Jay's team. We had very specific "wish-list" items - we knew we wanted to be in Flower Mound. We wanted our kids to go to the same schools they had gone to before. That gave Nina a very limited selection of homes to show us, but she found homes that met our needs and was always willing to work with Zach's schedule to show him and was also great about working with me and including me in the process even though I was in Colorado.

When we first sold our home in 2015, we were so impressed with Jay's initial presentation. We knew each other on a personal level from church, but he never assumed he was going to get the business because of that. He came in and exhibited his wealth of knowledge about the market and also demonstrated what he could do to make the process as easy as possible for us.

We knew we were going to work with Jay when we came back just because of how well the process went when we left and because of the friendships we built with Jay and the other members of his team.

What surprised you the most about the process?

I hardly had to do anything to get our home ready to sell. And I have health issues, so Jay made the process of selling our home very seamless for me. When we've worked with other Realtors, that has not always been the case.

He went above and beyond in meeting our expectations of what a Realtor "should" do. And now we compare every Realtor to Jay and his services. When we were selling our home in Colorado to move back here we kept saying, "We wish we had Jay!"

What was the best part of your experience?

I think the thing to remember when you're working with Jay is that you're not just working with Jay. He has surrounded himself with amazing individuals, so no matter who you're working with on his team, they are so spot-on in what they do and are such a pleasure to work with. I think you'd be doing yourself a disservice not to work with Jay Marks and his team.
